Projects

Every piece of client work lives in a project, and every project belongs to one client. A project has:

  • A name and a short description.
  • A status: Planning, In progress, In review, On hold or Completed.
  • Optional start and due dates.

Create a project with New project on the client's page or on Projects (/app/projects). Each project has Overview, Deliverables, Updates, Approvals and Requests tabs. The client sees the same project in their portal, without your internal settings.

Keep the status current. It is the quickest way for a client to see where things stand. When the work is finished, set it to Completed. Select Archive project to tidy the list: an archived project is hidden from the client's portal until you select Restore project.

Adding deliverables

Deliverables are the pieces of work you want the client to review: designs, drafts, documents, exports. In the project's Deliverables tab, drag files onto the upload area or select Choose files.

  • Plan limits. The maximum size of a single file and the total storage for the workspace depend on your plan. See pricing.
  • Blocked types. For security, executables, installers, scripts and disk images (for example .exe, .msi, .bat, .sh, .js, .jar, .dmg, .apk and .iso) cannot be uploaded. Ayebridge checks both the file extension and the file type. If you need to hand over source code, put it in a .zip archive. Our Acceptable Use Policy explains what may not be uploaded.
  • File content check. After an upload, Ayebridge also checks the start of the file. If it looks like an executable or a script, whatever its name, the version is marked Unavailable and cannot be previewed or downloaded. A version can also be made unavailable after a review of an abuse report.

Clients can upload too, usually in response to a request. Their uploads are marked From client so you can tell them apart from your own work.

Folders

Use New folder to organize a project, for example "Concepts", "Final artwork" and "Source". Folders can be nested, renamed and deleted under Folder settings. Clients see the same structure in their portal.

Versions

When you revise a deliverable, open it and select Upload new version instead of adding a separate file. Ayebridge numbers versions automatically (v1, v2, v3) and shows the current one by default. Earlier versions stay in the version history. To go back to an earlier version, select Make current next to it.

Versions make approvals reliable: an approval is tied to a specific version, and the record notes exactly which version the client decided on. See approvals.

Previews and downloads

Images, PDFs and plain-text files open in a preview in the browser for your team and your client. Other formats can be downloaded.

Deliverables are stored privately and are visible only to your team and the invited contacts of that client. There are no public links. Each time someone previews or downloads, Ayebridge checks their access and creates a signed link that expires after a few minutes, so a forwarded link stops working shortly afterwards. To give someone new access, invite them as a contact.

Deleting

Team members can rename or delete files that were added by mistake. Deleting a file removes it and all its versions from the project, for your team and your client. Approval records that refer to it are kept.

Storage limits

Ayebridge warns you at 80% of your storage. At 100%, new uploads are blocked until you free up space or move to a larger plan from Billing (/app/billing). Existing deliverables are never deleted to make room.
