What you are setting up
Ayebridge is organized around a workspace: the account for your business. Inside a workspace you have clients, each with their own private portal, and projects for each client. Your team works in the workspace at /app. Your clients only ever see their own portal, and only after you invite them.
This guide covers the first half hour: creating the workspace, adding a client, posting work for review and inviting your team.
1. Create your account and workspace
- Go to sign up and fill in Your name, Work email, Password (at least 10 characters) and Workspace name. The workspace name is usually your business or studio name. Your clients see it on their portal and in emails.
- Open the confirmation email and select the link. You need a confirmed email address before you can invite clients or teammates. Until then, a banner at the top of the app reminds you and lets you resend the email.
Your 14-day free trial starts as soon as the workspace is created. No card is needed, and nothing is charged when the trial ends.
2. Add your first client
- Open Clients in the sidebar (
/app/clients) and select Add client. - Enter the client's name, usually the company you work for, and save.
- On the client's page, under Invite a contact, enter the contact's email and name, then select Send invitation.
The contact receives an email with a link to their portal. They sign in with a single-use email link, so they never need a password. You can add the client now and invite contacts later. See inviting clients.
3. Create a project and post work for review
- On the client's page, select New project. Give it a name, a short description and, if you like, start and due dates.
- In the project's Deliverables tab, drag a deliverable onto the upload area or select Choose files.
- In the Approvals tab, ask the client to approve it. See approvals.
- In the Updates tab, post a short note so the client knows what is ready and what you need from them.
You can also add requests for things you need from the client, such as logo files or page copy.
4. Preview the portal
Before you invite a real client, look at the portal the way they will see it. Select Open portal on the client's page, or Preview portal on a project. Nothing you do in preview is sent to the client.
5. Invite your team
If you work with others, an owner or admin can invite them from Team (/app/team) and choose a role for each person. See team members and roles.
6. Make it yours
Add your logo, accent color and a welcome message in Settings → Branding (/app/settings/branding). Branding and quote and invoice documents are included in the trial, so you can try them before choosing a plan. See branding your portals.
When the trial ends
At the end of the 14 days, the workspace becomes read-only unless you have subscribed:
- You, your team and your clients can still sign in, view everything and download deliverables.
- New uploads, updates and other changes are paused.
- Nothing is deleted. Your data is kept for at least 30 days.
To continue, open Billing (/app/billing), or select Choose a plan in the trial banner, then select Subscribe to followed by the plan you want. Payment happens on Stripe's secure checkout page. See billing and plans.
